The emerging labour market is all about navigating choices!

British Columbia is experiencing a skills shortage unlike any we’ve seen before and this is creating new and better OPTIONS for job seekers. This year’s BC Labour Year-in-Review Workshop will explore the long-term impact of the skills shortage, trends in hybrid employment and the jobs most in demand in the coming year. The following is a list of topics we will address in the workshop:

• BRAND NEW 2021 CENSUS DATA providing detailed LMI analysis on the community level

• Supports and research into under-represented groups in the labour market including women, youth, Indigenous Canadians, those with disabilities and immigrants

• Changing workplace practices: how employers are responding to the skills shortage

• Review of the most important labour market stories and government announcements in 2022

• Overview of key labour market research, reports and labour market tools released during 2022
